Enjoy an exciting afternoon in the Texas Hill Country floating the whitewater rapids of the beautiful Guadalupe River on top of a tube (toob), raft or kayak.

We are located 10 miles west of New Braunfels (See Driving Directions). Lazy L&L Campground float trips include some of the best whitewater rapids on the Guadalupe, known as Devil's Playground Rapids, as well as Bad Rock Rapids. And, if time permits, take our long trip through the chutes.
Of course, float trips vary depending upon the river flow conditions and the time available required to complete a trip.
Changes in river flow do affect river trips, so please don't hesitate to call us for more details (830-964-3455). However, even during a low river flow, our floats provide plenty of float time without walking. We offer float trips that vary anywhere from 2-4 hours. So, plan your float trip accordingly as all equipment must be back to Lazy L&L by 5PM Sundays-Thursdays; 7PM Fridays & Saturdays or unless otherwise instructed at time of rental.
Lazy L and L Campground does allow the use of private equipment. However, you need to know that all properties along the Guadalupe River on River Rd are privately owned. There is no public access/exit on River Rd. Therefore, if you decide to float the river with private equipment beyond Devil’s Playground, everyone should purchase a shuttle band/pass from us prior to departing. All private equipment must have shuttle bands to board bus. Lazy L and L will inform you where to exit according to the river flow. If you exit the river on River Road other than our designated locations, you are trespassing and subject to being arrested, fined and/or assessed exit fees, etc.
Please be aware that if you are identified dropping off/picking up anyone getting in/out of the river with private equipment on/from private property, you will be dismissed immediately from Lazy L and L without a refund.
Please help us keep the river clean … bags will be provided for you to stash your trash. And remember, NO STYROFOAM, GLASS OR PLASTIC CONTAINERS OF 5 OZ OR LESS allowed on the river.
RIVER RULES:

- No glass or foam products.
- No 5oz or less plastic containers are allowed on the river ... it's the law. Protect the river!
- It is advisable to wear rubber soled shoes with lace-up ties or water shoes that are secure on your feet.
- Keep on Floating! No Trespassing! Land is all privately-owned.
- Stash your trash ... no littering!
- Use designated Lazy L&L shuttle pick-up points!
- Watch children constantly, stay close!
- No jumping from bridges or cliffs!
- Get out of the water during lightning storms or high winds
- Tubes w/large coolers are permissable.
- Alcohol is allowed on the river (we're not in the city limits) ... so be responsible if you indulge. You know the laws!
- Be respectful of your fellow tubers/rafters and their belongings.

Shuttle passes for private equipment MUST be purchased for $10.00 per person before getting on the river. No private equipment will be allowed on shuttle truck without a pass.
All properties along the Guadalupe River on River Road are privately-owned, either by homeowners or river outfitters; there is no public access/exit on River Road (this includes any of Lazy L&L take-outs/put-ins; these locations are only for Lazy L&L owned vehicles). Therefore, if you decide to float the river with private equipment beyond Devil's Playground, everyone should purchase a shuttle band/pass from us prior to departing. Our shuttles only pick up folks at our designated pick-up points that are wearing our shuttle bands or folks that have rented our tubes. If you exit the river on River Road other than our designated locations, you are trespassing and subject to being arrested, fined, and/or assessed exit fees, etc.
Please be aware that if you are identified dropping off/picking up anyone getting in/out of the river with private equipment on/from private property, you and your party will be required to depart Lazy L&L immediately and without a refund
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- All rates above include a $1 Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County (WORD) fee and a shuttle. Additional shuttle trips are $10 per person.
- Float times may change from day-to-day because of the river flow release from Canyon Lake.
- Children should be at least 3 years of age or older and that will vary also depending upon water conditions.
